Why We Exist

🌷 Dedicated in Loving Memory of My Grandmother

As for my grandmother… she took care of other people’s children and families all her life. I watched her do this over and over again. She gave without expecting anything in return. Her heart was open, her door was open — and she helped anyone who needed a safe place to land

This is why I do what I do today.

Florences House is named in honor of my grandmother a woman of quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering love. Watching her care for others throughout my life taught me the true meaning of service. She didn’t just speak about kindness she lived it.

Creating a sober living home felt like the natural continuation of her legacy. Just like she did, we offer people a place to feel safe, supported, and surrounded by care especially during one of the most vulnerable chapters of their lives.

Florences House is more than a name.

It’s a promise.

A promise to continue the work she started to create a better place for healing, hope, and new beginnings.
